Provide leadership in the use of relational database management systems to application development teams. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining knowledge of current trends and directions related to the database management systems and management tools. Seek to enhance the database environment by identifying areas of improvement Support for Database design/implementation. Create/alter all test and production databases. Install / upgrade Oracle software on multiple server environments. Work with the programming division to set standards related to the performance of sql statements. Establish table and index storage requirements. Create development, test, and qa environments for both database and Internet Application environments. Install, upgrade and support the Oracle Internet Application software. Proactively monitor and maintain all databases. Database backups/recovery. Database tuning. Database security/use. Provide backup support as assigned and/or needed. Support and maintain all corporate quality standards, policies, procedures, and work instructions as outlined in the company quality system documentation. Ensure customer satisfaction by preventing the occurrences on nonconformaties relating to product, process, and quality systems.
